Natural Loofah

A loofah is the dried fibre of the sponge gourd: a plant, not a plastic mesh. Ours are sun-dried, cut by hand and stitched with cotton thread so they keep their shape when wet. There are four: a heart and an oval that sit in the palm, a long rectangle you hold at both ends to reach your back, and a dual-texture pad with brushed cotton on the other side. Rinse it after use, hang it to dry between baths, replace it every 4–6 weeks and put the old one in the compost.
